We deployed our heaviest equipment for this 150-acre disaster project caused by a tornado that ripped a miles-long path of destruction through the town of Salado, TX in 2022. Our focus was placed on areas along driving paths to clear the line of sight. Using 2 Barkos and 4 excavators to manage the cleanup of tornado-affected areas, as highlighted in red on the attached map.

Excavators sorted trees by trunks into clean piles for burning, while the Barkos mulched all broken limbs, and snapped trunks, cedar, and other wood debris, spreading the mulch evenly in place. A combination of burning and mulching was used to manage all cleared material. In areas selected for open burning, Kleensite provided 4,000-gallon water trucks on standby to ensure safety and to extinguish the fire at the end of each day. Chainsaw labor was utilized to make clean cuts on broken limbs of trees still rooted in the ground. Medicated paint was applied to all limbs that were cut back to promote the healthy recovery of the trees.
