This project posed challenges due to the rugged 308-acre terrain, as the property is situated on a massive granite rock formation. We cleared all cedar and underbrush across the entire property while preserving good hardwoods. Excavators were used to grub the material and move it to designated areas where it could be mulched, away from rocks and boulders. In less rocky areas, a machine mulched the material, ensuring the mulch was spread out evenly. Where permission was granted, a combination of burning and mulching was used to manage the cleared material.
